The Rondolino family has been cultivating rice in Italy's Piedmont since 1935. Acquerello was founded by Cesare Rondolino, who was later joined by his son Piero. He invented a unique gentle rice whitening process that does not damage the grain, allowing the rice to retain its nutritional values. Acquerello rice thus combines the best of white rice and brown rice! The entire production process is completed with a year of aging in cooled silos. The stabilized starch in Acquerello rice ensures higher fluid absorption during cooking, resulting in less rice being used while maintaining great taste.
