Primitivo Ceppi Sparsi Puglia IGT I Parieti 2021
Unusually fresh, elegant, and incredibly complex Primitivo from the tiny Corvello vineyard in Gioia delle Colle with vines over 60 years old. The rare red soil rich in iron found in this vineyard gives the wines an interesting mineral taste. Winemaker Matteo Santoiemma manages the vineyard entirely ecologically and in harmony with the natural rhythms of nature. Hand-picked best grapes are left to spontaneously ferment, and the wine is then aged in cement tanks. Each step of vinification is done personally by him, and he leaves his handprint on each individual label of this wine, which is produced in a very limited quantity.

I Parieti
The organic winery I Parieti of winemaker Matteo Santoiemma was founded only in 2019, but it has already made its mark among connoisseurs and ordinary lovers of quality wines. Matteo works with local varieties Primitivo, Verdeca and Minutolo, where he can perfectly highlight the properties of each variety and terroir through natural fermentation and aging in stainless steel or cement tanks. His vineyards, surrounded by typical stone walls, are located in the renowned wine region of Murgia with rare red soil rich in iron. Some of his vineyards are over 60 years old, and the vines grow in the form of characteristic twisted low bushes scattered among olive trees. Matteo does not fine or filter his wines, and adds sulfites only in the absolutely necessary amount. Harvesting is done exclusively by hand, as are the individual steps of vinification.
