Scazzaridde Bianco Puglia IGT I Parieti 2023
Ideal wine for summer. Made from local varieties Verdeca and Minutolo. Well-balanced, fresh and mineral. An explosion of ripe yellow fruit complemented by tones of Mediterranean herbs. It comes from organically farmed vineyards in Murgia by winemaker Matteo Santoiemma, who farms here completely ecologically and in harmony with the natural rhythms of nature. Hand-harvested grapes spontaneously ferment and then the wine matures in stainless steel tanks. Scazzaridde in the local dialect means a whirlwind that typically forms in this area during the summer months.

The organic winery I Parieti by winemaker Matteo Santoiemma was established only in 2019, but has already made a name for itself among connoisseurs and ordinary lovers of quality wines. Matteo works with local varieties Primitivo, Verdeca and Minutolo, which, thanks to natural fermentation and aging in stainless steel or cement tanks, he can perfectly highlight the characteristics of each variety and terroir. His vineyards, surrounded by typical stone walls, are located in the renowned wine region of Murgia with rare red soil rich in iron. Some of his vineyards are over 60 years old, and the vines grow in the form of characteristic twisted low bushes scattered among olive trees. Matteo does not fine or filter his wines, and adds sulfites only in the necessary amount. Harvesting is done exclusively by hand, as well as the individual steps of vinification.
